Thickness
According to the size of the earring hole
Please choose from 16G or 14G.

1).16G (Diameter: 1.2mm)
A thickness that can be used even for standard pierced ears.
This is a popular gauge size.
Even for those who have pierced their ears with 14G, if you haven't worn earrings for a while, the piercing hole may have shrunk, so 16G is recommended.
2).14G (Diameter: 1.6mm)
If you pierced your ears with a 14G needle, please choose 14G.
Also, generally, people who have cartilage piercings or body piercing holes done at hospitals tend to have 14G.
02.
Length
The thickness of the earring hole plus 1mm is comfortable.

Piercing Hole Thickness +1mm
For easier attachment and removal of parts and cleaning of barbells, we recommend adding +1mm to your piercing hole thickness. Individual differences apply, but generally, 7mm is popular for outer conch piercings.
* If the length does not fit, please use our Return & Exchange Service.
* If there is a possibility of swelling due to unstable holes or other reasons, we recommend adding an additional +1mm.

About outer conchs
Q&A
What is an outer conch piercing?
An outer conch piercing is a piercing worn on the flat cartilage area at the upper part of the ear. As you move closer to the edge of the ear that area is called the helix, so the outer conch is positioned more toward the center. Because the piercing is easy to see and can accommodate a wide variety of designs, it is popular not only with younger people but also with those in their 40s and 50s.
What's the best position for a cute outer conch?
We recommend placing the outer conch in the center of the flat cartilage at the top of the ear.
By creating the piercing as close to the center as possible, you can wear three-dimensional or larger designs, expanding your piercing fashion options.
How painful is it to get an outer conch pierced?
The outer conch is on a relatively firm part of the cartilage, so to prevent problems like a stud not penetrating, it is generally pierced with a needle rather than a piercing gun.
For that reason, it tends to be slightly more painful than softer areas like the earlobe.
If you're not experienced with self-piercing using a needle, we recommend having it done at a clinic.
※If you have it done at a clinic, you may be able to receive anesthesia before the procedure.
How can I avoid mistakes when getting one pierced?
Self-piercing with a needle is generally more difficult and more prone to mistakes than self-piercing with a piercing gun.
Positions that are hard to work on, like the outer conch, can cause the needle not to penetrate, the hole to be misaligned, the piercing to go in at an angle, or other problems.
To avoid such mistakes, we recommend getting a pre-procedure consultation at a trusted clinic and having the piercing done safely with the appropriate instruments.
※Piercing is a medical procedure. We generally recommend having it done at a clinic.
Recommended first piercing jewelry?
First, it's important not to subject a newly pierced hole to irritation or stress.
For that reason, avoid designs that snag or large, heavy motifs.
Also, it's important to choose materials that are suitable for your body's sensitivity to metals and are allergy-friendly.
For design, lightweight, small pieces with no snags are recommended.
For barbells, until the piercing stabilizes, assume there will be swelling and choose a length of the piercing thickness "+2mm".
If you choose a perfectly fitted barbell before the piercing is stable, there won't be space for discharge to escape, which can lead to inflammation, infection, or granuloma.
However, pieces that are too long can create extra snagging after the swelling goes down, so we recommend piercing thickness +2mm.
Recommended jewelry for the outer conch?
This depends on the shape of the ear and the placement of the piercing hole, but generally you can use quite large pieces, so for parts nearly all types of earrings can be used.
※For hoop types, please check the inner diameter of the earring to match the position of your piercing hole.
