Please choose the best one for you.

01.

16G is popular.

ゲージサイズ

Your HTML

* Gauge size (G) = Barbell thickness

1).16G (Diameter: 1.2mm)

A thickness that can be used even for standard pierced ears.
This is a popular gauge size.
Even for those who have pierced their ears with 14G, if you haven't worn earrings for a while, the piercing hole may have shrunk, so 16G is recommended.

2).14G (Diameter: 1.6mm)

If you pierced your ears with a 14G needle, please choose 14G.
Also, generally, people who have cartilage piercings or body piercing holes done at hospitals tend to have 14G.

02.

Length

The thickness of the earring hole plus 1mm is comfortable.

バーベルの長さ

Your HTML

Piercing hole thickness +1mm

Since it is easier to attach and detach parts and clean the barbell, we recommend a thickness of the piercing hole plus 1mm. Although there are individual differences, 7mm is generally popular for earlobes.
*If the length does not match,Return & Exchange ServicePlease use.
* If there is a possibility of swelling due to reasons such as the hole not being stable, we recommend adding an additional +1mm.

About earlobes

Q&A

What is an earlobe piercing?

Earlobe piercings are the most common type of piercing, worn on the soft part of the earlobe.
A 16G barbell can be used as a screw-type earring in standard earlobe piercing holes.

Benefits of screw-type earrings
1). The post does not protrude out the back of the earlobe, so it won't get caught on things
2). You can replace only the decorative parts without removing the barbell from the piercing hole

*Recommended as a first earring so you can enjoy jewelry without putting strain on the piercing hole.

Where is the best placement for a cute earlobe piercing?

When getting an earlobe piercing, it's important not to place it too close to the edge of the earlobe.
If it's too close to the edge, the hole can tear if the earring gets caught on something.
Therefore, we recommend placing the piercing at least 5mm away from the edge of the earlobe.

If you plan to have only one hole, a position near the center of the earlobe's width is typical.
If you plan to have multiple holes, imagine the positions of the later holes before piercing.
Also, keeping about 1cm between holes prevents interference between earrings and lets you enjoy a wider variety of styles.

By keeping these points in mind, you'll find it easier to wear various sizes and designs and expand the ways you can style your earrings.

Does it hurt to pierce the earlobe?

The earlobe is the area most people pierce themselves.
When using a self-piercing gun, the spring action creates a quick piercing, so the pain is momentary. The earlobe is soft and has fewer nerves, so it is less likely to be painful, and you may be more startled by the sound of the piercer than by the pain. Also, since it tends to heal relatively stably, there's less worry about long-lasting pain after piercing, making it a good choice for first-timers.

How can you avoid mistakes when piercing?

A clinic is recommended over doing it yourself for a neater, properly aligned result.
The flow for self-piercing is: ① examine your ear in a mirror, ② mark the piercing spot with an eyeliner or similar, ③ use the piercer to pierce in one motion. (The piercer contains the first earring.)
However, even if you carefully check the position in a mirror, the force used to press the piercer can shift the position or cause the piercing to go in at an angle, leading to mistakes.
Having a third person help is a good idea, but to avoid mistakes altogether we recommend having the piercing done at a clinic.

Recommended first piercing jewelry?

Since you’ve just created a piercing hole, choose a design that prioritizes the health of the piercing until it stabilizes.
First and foremost, avoid putting stress on the piercing hole.
Choose materials that are suitable for your sensitivity (allergy-friendly), designs that are less likely to catch on hair or clothing, and lightweight pieces.
Also, for the barbell length, assume some swelling until the piercing stabilizes and choose a length that is the thickness of the pierced area plus about 2mm.
If you choose a barbell that fits exactly while the hole is still unstable, there will be no gap for discharge and dirt to escape, which can lead to inflammation, infection, or granulation tissue.
However, excessively long jewelry can cause unnecessary catching after swelling subsides, so we recommend piercing hole thickness +2mm.

What to do if your earlobe piercing isn't stabilizing?

Daily care is important to prevent bacteria from entering the piercing hole until it stabilizes.
But it's not difficult: when you bathe, gently rinse the piercing hole with the shower before you get out of the bath — that's all the daily care required.
Shampoo residue and skin oils tend to remain around the piercing and, if left, can lead to bacterial infection.
If inflammation, pus, or granulation tissue occurs, review your daily care and check whether the jewelry material is suitable for your body and whether the length is appropriate.
Don't leave problems untreated — visiting a clinic early for appropriate treatment can save the piercing hole.
